Robbery Poag’s Jewellers Strathroy UPDATE

UPDATE: On December 28th 2018, The Strathroy Caradoc Police Recovered a dark blue 2018 Dodge Ram pickup truck, Ontario licence AW59012 on Mill Lane near Metcalfe Street. The truck is believed to have been used as the get away vehicle in the robbery of Poag’s Jewellers the day before. The pick up was reported stolen on October 12th at approximately 10:30pm from an address on Marconi Blvd in London.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance, if you believe you witnessed this vehicle at any time, contact the Strathroy Caradoc Police Criminal Investigation Division D/Cst. Graham at (519)245-1250. Should you wish to remain anonymous you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) where you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000. Police are also seeking the public’s assistance with regards to video. December 27th 2018 The Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service is investigating a robbery that occurred at James O. Poag Jewellers in Strathroy.

“On Thursday December 27 at 610pm, 2 male suspects entered Poag’s Jewellers in Strathroy and committed a robbery by smashing some glass cases and removing an undisclosed amount of jewelry.  The males were dressed in all black and had their faces covered. The suspects fled the area in a newer black, Dodge Ram pick up truck with chrome bumpers and rims. No one was injured during the robbery. The Strathroy-Caradoc Police Criminal Investigation Division is currently  investigating with the assistance of Uniform Patrol and the Forensic Identification Division.”
